The key feature of this property is a large wooded island surrounded by acres of nearly impenetrable swamp! This is exactly the type of habitat that the big bucks of Polk County Wisconsin prefer as only the most dedicated of hunters would dare attempt to hunt them there. But for the select few who have what it takes to hunt these old moss covered bucks in there bedroom, the results can be amazing. When I first drove to the property I knew right away that this island and swamp was the escape destination for every mature buck in the area. Once there is a little pressure applied, like opening day of the rifle season, you know every trophy will make his way here to sit low and just wait it out in safety. But not this year. He did not expect you to have snuck in under the cover of darkness right into his bedroom! This is a rare property but so are trophy bucks!
